Winter Solstice

OK, I’m sure that you know that there is only 4 more shopping days to Christmas… But besides that, at 11:04pm PST later today TODAY the Winter Solstice will occur! Today is the year’s shortest day in terms of daylight AND the sun (if we can see it in Seattle) will have the lowest arc in the sky… This means that moving forward until June there will be more and more daylight now- YIPPEE!!! Did you know that the earth is actually 3million miles closer to the sun in January than it is in June? Anyways, on the Winter Solstice in the N. Hemisphere, the sun is directly overhead at noon only along the Tropic of Capricorn the only Major city along that Tropic is Sao Paulo.
